Joshua Swart, M.S., L.Ac., is a licensed acupuncturist and graduate of The New York College for Wholistic Health, Education, and Research in Syosset, NY. Joshua studied both Chinese and Japanese Acupuncture, with some of the most experienced practioners from China, the U.S., and Japan. As a competent health care provider, Joshua continues to study both acupuncture and herbal therapy. He practices with compassion and a strong desire to make Acupuncture accessible to as many people as possible, regardless of income or health insurance.
Licensed Acupuncturist training for Joshua Swart:
-Two year undergraduate degree.
-Acupuncture college: three years, 9 semesters, full time study. Included additional studies in neurology, pathology (study of disease), anatomy and physiology, etc. (taught by medical doctors and chiropractors).
-Two semesters observing treatments in the school clinic.
-One year treating patients in the school clinic, accumulating over 300 patient visits.
-Clean needle certification.
-National licensing exam including point location. (New York State accepts the National exam).
-Year-end comprehensive testing for each year.
-Masters of Science degree in Acupuncture.
